Strangewaze Wednesdaze Electrifies the Medical District for One Unforgettable Night
May 22, 2025

Strangewaze Wednesdaze was one night only in May 2025, and visitors made that one night count in Medical District Park!

Hundreds of people enjoyed free food, refreshing drinks, captivating live music, dancing and other fun activities during the midweek concert in Medical District Park. Early birds who RSVP’d were treated to limited-edition color-changing Strangewaze cups, adding a touch of playful charm to the evening.

The air was alive as DJ BizzleBlueBland set the rhythm while revelers, visitors, and even spectators poured into the park to enjoy the vibes of the only free event happening during Memphis In May! An electrifying lineup of performances highlighted the night, including blues band Cat Daddy, rap group Iron Mic Coalition, and Memphis Jookin'.

Attendees savored an impressive culinary lineup, with tantalizing offerings from local favorites like Riko's Kickin' Chicken, Rock'n Dough Pizza, Sabor Caribe Empanadas & Margaritas and Good Groceries Mobile Diner. They also enjoyed sweet treats from Muddy's Bake Shop and Kooler Gurlz Italian Ice and indulged in invigorating sips (using the Stragewaze cups!) from French Truck Coffee, Rootstock Wine, Carmen’s Cocktails and Creations, and Memphis Made and Flyway Brewing Companies.

Beyond the delicious food and infectious music, Strangewaze Wednesdaze offered a vibrant marketplace of local artisans and vendors for shoppers looking for everything from vintage records to pet toys and yoga discounts! Shoppers explored unique finds from Blue Suede Vintage, Slowdown Dry Goods, and Kelsey Berry Pottery, among others. Sana Yoga, located steps away from the park, offered discounts on memberships. Hand of Mercy Tattoo Parlor, Shangri-La Records, Hollywood Feed, Silk & Honey Permanent Jewelry, 901 Deals, Cordelia's Market, and rounded out the eclectic mix.

Strangewaze Wednesdaze also gave away exciting prizes! Lucky attendees won a variety of gifts, including Kristian Ashley Charles who received a One Month Unlimited pass to Sana Yoga Downtown, a French Truck Coffee Brewing Bundle, and a $25 Rock’n Dough Gift Card. Eileen Hogan walked away with a Hand of Mercy Tattoo Parlor Bundle, a Brewery Tour & Tasting for four at Memphis Made Brewing Company, and a $25 Flyway Brewing Co. Gift Card.
