MMDC Improvement Grants offer up to $15,000 per project for improvements to commercial, mixed-use, and multi-family residential property. Both tenants and property owners are eligible for up to $7,500 each to assist in the development and completion eligible projects including:

• Signage
• Lighting
• Sidewalk repairs
• General façade (painting, tuck pointing, etc.)
• Tenant build-out (interior painting, tiling, furniture)
• Public art
  

Additional weight is given to projects with stated goals to enhance the community and vitality of the District. This includes plans for residential, commercial and/or mixed-use projects that add density to the District; plans that activate public spaces through designs that accommodate walkability and mobility; plans that create community through the development of third places and/or shared spaces; and plans that can create jobs and are mindful of sustainable development practices.
